OceanWings is a French industrial start-up that successfully equipped the Canopée ship with four OceanWings®, making it the first hybrid industrial cargo ship propelled by wind. Building on this success, the company recently announced the expansion of its sail portfolio, designed to offer shipowners an optimal return on investment while adding more flexibility and integration options for new construction and retrofit projects.
To improve the aerodynamic performance of OceanWings®, the company uses fluid dynamics simulations (CFD) carried out on the Qarnot cloud. CFD simulations are essential but require considerable computational resources.
Qarnot's innovative approach leverages the excess heat generated by computing to heat industrial sites, district heating networks, or swimming pools.
This partnership highlights a shared commitment to technological innovation and environmental responsibility. We are delighted to have participated in such a significant project.
Together, let's contribute to a maritime and digital future that is more responsible, efficient and sustainable.
