Qarnot is an innovative supplier of Cloud computing specialized in HPC (High-Performance Computing). We offer a unique solution by reusing the heat generated by servers to heat buildings, while providing computing power on demand. Our infrastructure is used by companies requiring intensive calculations, especially in the fields of finance, 3D rendering, and complex simulations.

The HPC allows large-scale calculations to be carried out, often used for scientific simulations, financial analyses or engineering projects. By making these services accessible via the Cloud, we offer our customers the opportunity to benefit from high performance without the constraints of a physical infrastructure.

Tasq.qarnot.com: A calculation management platform that allows users to orchestrate and optimize their workloads on our distributed infrastructures.
Render.qarnot.com: A cloud service dedicated to 3D rendering and visual effects, allowing complex rendering projects to be managed and supervised intuitively.

We are also developing new applications for specific sectors such as CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).

The team

Your missions

We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with solid expertise in Backend to take charge of the design, development, and optimization of our backend services. As a senior profile, you will have a direct influence on architecture choices and code quality, while supporting team members on advanced technical aspects.

Your responsibilities:

Design, develop and maintain efficient and secure REST APIs.
Ensure the implementation of adapted storage and messaging solutions, using MariaDB, Redis, MongoDB, InfluxDB, and RabbitMQ.
Work with Node.js, TypeScript, expressjs, and Zod to create reliable and maintainable services, paying particular attention to the architecture of the code.
Use Sequelize as an ORM to manage and optimize relational databases.
Use Jest and Docker for unit and functional tests.
Package applications with apt/deb_helper and manage processes with Systemd.
Collaborate with the frontend team (Vue.js) and provide your expertise to ensure the fluidity of exchanges between the frontend and the backend.
Oversee CI/CD pipelines with GitLabCI to improve the efficiency of delivery processes and automated tests.
Conduct rigorous code reviews, identify optimization opportunities and support the team in continuous quality improvement.

Your profile

Senior experience with at least 3 years in backend development, and a solid mastery of Node.js and TypeScript.
In-depth knowledge of expressjs and Zod for structured and secure APIs.
Knowledge of databases (MariaDB, Redis, Redis, MongoDB, InfluxDB) and ability to choose and optimize solutions according to project requirements.
Knowledge of Sequelize or another ORM to manage data persistence.
Experience of Docker for local development, apt/deb_helper for packaging, and Systemd for process management.
Mastery of test and code quality tools, in particular Jest for unit testing and code reviews.
Knowledge of Vue.js (or React.js) and GitLabCI is a plus appreciated.
Strong autonomy and ability to work in a team, with a spirit of collaboration and mentoring to support team members.
